The Meaning of Hyssop
"Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow."
— Psalm 51:7 (51:9 in Kinyarwanda/some versions)"Take a bunch of hyssop, dip it into the blood in the basin and put some of the blood on the top and on both sides of the doorframe. None of you shall go out of the door of your house until morning."
— Exodus 12:22The name Hyssop carries profound biblical significance representing purification, cleansing, and salvation. Just as hyssop was used to apply the blood of the Passover lamb for deliverance, and used in ceremonial cleansing, our choir seeks to be an instrument of God's purifying worship, bringing souls closer to His saving grace.
